So, what actually happens?
Taking that first step toward therapy can feel intimidating — especially if you’ve never done it before, or if a past experience left you unsure. I want to take the mystery out of it. Here’s what working together at Loveland Counseling actually looks like.
Your First Session
We’ll start by just getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what brought you in, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping to feel or experience differently. You don’t need to have it all figured out — you just need to show up. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.
From There
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically happen weekly, though we’ll figure out a rhythm that works for you. Therapy isn’t linear — some weeks feel like breakthroughs, others feel harder. That’s all part of the process, and I’ll be with you through all of it.
Your Options
I offer in-office sessions in Loveland, Ohio, telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in Ohio and Kentucky, and outdoor walk and talk sessions at local parks for those who find healing in movement and nature. We can mix and match depending on what you need.
A Safe Space — Always
My job is not to judge you or tell you what to do — it’s to help you find your own way forward. You are the expert on your own life. I’m just here to walk alongside you.
